Show your school spirit on Friday and wear your red, white, and blue LCS attire!

Class of 2015 Mission Trip Car Wash:  5/18 @ 10 a.m.-3 p.m.  Monteith Insurance  8518 Gage Blvd  Kennewick, WA/across from Costco.

Our Military needs your help!  On June 19 Liberty will be hosting an emergency training performed by many different aspects of our military.  They are in need of 70-80 volunteers to role play for them. Only high schoolers and adults are asked to participate.  You are free to ask your friends, relatives, neighbors, church bodies to help and it will last all day.  We will provide more details when we get them. Please email kdunham@libertychristian.net if you are interested.  Liberty will be receiving donations for helping.

Dust Devils Game Night:

Liberty has teamed up with the Dust Devils for a Liberty Christian Night on Wednesday, June 26, 2013.  Game time is 7:15 pm and tickets are $7 each and can be reserved at the Development Office.  School Night participants will receive $1 hot dogs and sodas all night long and a chance to participate in on-field promotions.  This is a great way to get together in the summer as an LCS family.  Order forms  are available at the Development office and will be sent home in next week’s Thursday packets.

Connect 4:

POPSICLES instead of LMNOP

Connect 4 will not be having a LMNOP this week. Instead, on Field Day (May 31) we will be giving out popsicles on the Elementary playground after school.  Anyone who wants a popsicle can have one! Don’t want a popsicle?  That’s ok, come anyway!  We still would love to see you!

End-of-the-Year-BBQ

June 7^th is the last day of school. Connect 4 will be hosting a BBQ on the North side of the front lawn right after school ends.  Hot dogs, chips, water, and bounce houses will make this a great summer kick-off!  This is a free event and everyone is invited.  Tables and chairs will be provided, but it is recommended that you bring lawn chairs and/or a blanket just in case.

We are looking for volunteers to help make this BBQ a success.  We need help with set-up, serving, and clean-up. 

RE-ENROLLMENT-Re-enrollment is done through ParentsWeb (District Code LIB-WA) by clicking the Family Info Tab/Re-enrollment.  An email will be sent to current families with the instructions for re-enrollment and they are posted in ParentsWeb under the Resource Documents.  The re-enrollment process defaults to the mother’s ParentsWeb page.  If parents share a log-in page and yours is under the father’s name, the student will not appear in the reenrollment list.  Please call or email Jaime Zeigler jzeigler@libertychristian.net and she will switch the default to the father’s log in page. There is no registration fee charged for a 4^th child or more in a family.  If you do not have access to a computer, please call to make an appointment with Jaime Zeigler, Director of Admissions.  Ms. Zeigler will be happy to walk you through the process on a computer at school.

Liberty Christian School is seeking a Head Varsity Volleyball coach to lead all aspects of the volleyball program. Minimum requirements include previous high school coaching experience with a proven ability to lead all aspects of a sports program. 

There is now a sports link on the banner of the Liberty website that will connect you to the new sports website.  Check it out!!!  We have Liberty sportswear and gear available for purchase and you can save money if you order in May.  Have fun shopping!

Field Day is Friday, May 31st

Our 2013 Field Day has been added to the calendar. Friday, May 31^st from 11am - end of the school day!! 

This year we will be holding a traditional style field day with events including an obstacle course, water balloon toss, cup stacking, potato sack race and MUCH MORE. Students from K5-6^th grade will be put into teams and will start the festivities having a picnic lunch with one another. Once started, there will be an event rotation so each team will be able to participate in TEN events, with 3 water stations/rest areas scattered throughout the schedule.  At the end of the day we will celebrate with awards and popsicles!!  As we get closer to field day more detailed information will be provided.

This is going to be a FUN day and parents are invited and NEEDED to help pull this off. If you are able to help please send an email to: lwolff@libertychristian.net and let me know in what capacity you can help. There will also be a volunteer sign-up sheet at the office. **Please note that due to the time constraints as well as the complexity of the schedule (we have 20 teams to get through 10 events) we are asking that younger siblings stay at home. **

With the end of school fast approaching, you really need to be checking your lunch account balances.  All balances must be paid in full by June 7^th. 

You may check your balance 3 ways:  Online at Parentsweb under the family information tab; check your email for your weekly lunch statement; or just give Mrs. Shaffer a call at school or stop by the lunch room.

You may make payments 2 ways: Online at Parentsweb under the family information tab; or send money to school with your child.

The last day to order the entire lunch menu will be Thursday, May 30^th.  On May 31^st-June 6^th only the main entrée will be available to order.  You will need to send drinks and snacks to school for your child on these last days.

High School students may pick up theirs in Room 222 at the beginning of lunch.  None will be given out before that time.  Mrs. Knight will be available on Thursday and Friday after school and during lunch if you didn't get yours on Wednesday.

Middle School students will receive theirs on Thursday after school in Room 222.  None will be given out before that time.  If you didn't get yours at that time, Mrs. Knight will be available during lunch and after school on Friday.

Come check out Liberty's Spring Concert! Fifth grade, sixth grade, and secondary bands will all be performing, as well as our Secondary choir.  The concert is Tuesday, May 21 in the LCS gym at 6:30 p.m.

We are looking for volunteers to help with vision screening on May 28^th from 8:00am to 2:55 pm.  If you are available to help out please contact the office.  Thank you.

The MUSICAL DRAMA CLUB will be performing in an all school assembly on Friday, May 24, 2013, from 1:42-2:28 in the LCS gym!  Parents and guests are welcome.
