Liberty Christian
School supports the Biblical position that parents are responsible
to train their children in the ways of the Lord (Eph.
6:1-4,
Pro. 22:6). The school comes alongside parents in the teaching
of truth and in character development. The objectives of the school
are centered around the following six character builders:
To establish
CHRISTIAN TRUTH as a guide for life
- Through an
understanding that God is the sustainer of the universe and man. (Col.
1:16-17 &
Neh. 9:6)
- Through this
understanding, God's eternal power and divine nature are clearly
seen. (Neh.
9:6)
- Through an
acceptance that the Bible is the inspired Word of God, the only
authority for faith and practice. (II
Tim. 3:16-17)
- Through the
knowledge that all men are sinners and can attain salvation only
through personal faith in Jesus Christ as Savior. (Titus
3:5-6,
John 14:6)
- Through the
development (after coming to know Christ) of a consistent
Christian life through prayer and daily Bible study. (1
Peter 2:2)
- Through
arousal of a desire to invest one s life in Christian service to
the glory of God. (Col.
1:9-10)
To maintain a
HIGH ACADEMIC STANDARD
- Through a
mastery of the skills of communication (writing, reading,
speaking) and math so that the student will be prepared to acquire
further knowledge without hindering limitations. (Col.
3:23)
- Through
arousal of a desire to work and acquire knowledge of maximum
ability. (Ecc.
9:10)
- Through the
ability to discern truth from error. (I
John 4:6)
To instill
PURE MORALS
- Through
development of an appreciation for the values accrued from our
past spiritual and cultural heritage. (Psalms
61:5)
- Through the
persistent urging or teaching to choose right over wrong and to
hold ones convictions under pressure. (Dan.
1:8)
To generate a
SPIRIT OF PATRIOTISM
- Through the
teaching of loyalty to our country, and through recognition of
atheistic teachings which undermine our country's foundation.
- Through
recognition of government as God-ordained. (Rom.
13:1)
- Through
arousal of a desire to become involved citizens of this nation for
the Lord s sake. (Acts
13:36)
To live a
DISCIPLINED LIFE
- Through
submission to the Holy Spirit who conforms us to the image of
Christ. (Rom
8:9-10)
- Through the
exercising of self-restraint and the consideration of others. (I
Cor. 9:25,
27)
- Through
submission to, and with full cooperation toward, the legitimate
authorities; and where proper, by one's becoming a strong gracious
leader. (Titus
3:1)Phil.
2:5
To develop a
HIGH STANDARD OF SPORTSMANSHIP
- Through
submitting to proper authorities in all situations. (Rom.
13:1-2)
- Through proper
channeling of anger when under stress. (Jam.
1:19-20)
- Through
humility in athletic prowess. (Gal.
5:25-26)
- Through
displaying the fruit of the Spirit in all situations. (Gal.
5:22-23)
- Through
striving towards a Christ-like attitude. (Phil. 2:5)
